Networked Flexibility

Controller units are linked with networked PC, GSM, GPRS, allowing for reliable long-distance transmissions. This distributed system maintains a database at each reader, with unlimited expandability. This means that the system remains operational even if the host PC is down or the connection is lost. The core module is easily expanded to 16 readers, all controlled from the convenience of the host. Ideal for any situation, the DataScope system is suitable for the following applications:

DataScope Dative Control Module

The Dative Control Module is both a Mobile Network and Fixed LAN Control Module which performs the following tasks:

1. Handles the communication with the Remote Server by using either GPRS Packet data protocol, VPN, a simple handshake-protocol over a serial RS232-C line or an ethernet interface. When linked in to a network the Control Module is seen as being one single ASCII terminal.
2. Collects Data From Swipe Reader Interface, this interface can be Proximity,Barcode, Magstripe, Wiegand, RFID and Biometric devices.
3. Controls Relay Module for Turnstile, Door or Gates
4. Provides power (24V DC) to the terminals. This central power supply has several advantages including low cost, safe voltage levels and easy to backup.
5. Carries out polling of all terminals.
6. Stream data such as Image or data to Video monitors

All terminals can be randomly distributed across the workplace. The Module is designed to withstand harsh industrial environments. The robust system protocol in combination with strong communication driver/receiver pairs guarantees a reliable transfer of data. In addition The Dative Control Module is designed to offer the best immunity against electrical noise and interferences.

Complete Flexibility

Because our Modules can communicate using GPRS, Ethernet (via LAN or WAN) or via modem, simcard or wireless link, there will never be a time when it will not be appropriate to your needs.

Proximity, Magnetic Stripe, Bar Code, Pin Code or Biometric employee registration allows complete flexibility and choice.

Touch Pad Screen

The units can be provided with touch screen LCD display enables employees to confirm the date and time they are clocking as well as their name and department etc. Feedback of employee information such as employee flexi-time balance, holiday balance etc. is also available if desired.

In addition the LCD display can define fully customisable user key pads allowing options for employees to move department or cost center as well as change activity if appropriate, such as:

Units have the ability to link directly to work break Bells to ensure all employees work to your companies time rules. Each Module can be configured, via tru-time, to accept or bar individual employees, ensuring that they clock near their workplace and not at the first Module they pass when entering site.

In addition to this, employees’ registration at each Module can be automatically refused between or outside certain times in accordance with their individual shift pattern or working rules.

Biometric – Hand Scan / Finger Geometry Modules

Biometric Modules eliminate ‘Buddy Clocking’ so you can be sure that the person registering their attendance is really them. Also malicious clocking ‘in or out’ of fellow employees will be a thing of the past.

Hand Scan / Finger Geometry Modules are one of the most reliable forms of Biometrics available. Used in conjunction with either a unique employee Pin Code, or a Proximity, Magnetic Stripe or Bar Code badge, employee recognition is both quick and accurate.

Finger Geometry Modules operate by capturing an image of an employees hand and taking precise measurements between certain points. Comparing this image with that expected in conjunction with a unique Pin Code or Badge swipe is instant and 100% accurate.

When used in a ‘dirty’ work environment Hand Scan Modules allow a certain amount of wear and tear or build up of dirt on the hand without affecting recognition. This three-dimensional geometric device compensates for subtle variances in finger characteristics and offers an adjustable threshold for enrollment and verification purposes.

No sensitive information about an employee is recorded with this non-evasive method of using Biometrics.

This method of fingerprint recognition does not take a fingerprint reading from an employee but instead distinguishes a ridge from a valley with sensors located on a one inch pod. Independent Biometric reading or used in conjunction with a unique employee Pin Code, Magnetic Stripe, Bar Code or Proximity badge gives instant and 100% accurate recognition
